Mazda releases a new teaser image of the upcoming CX-90 SUV

Mazda has released a teaser photo of the future CX-90 electrified SUV, the new model that we will officially know in the first month of next year. The CX-90 is to be placed in the range of the Japanese manufacturer just above the CX-60.

Already known among fans of the Japanese brands, the CX-90 is an SUV that will also get a plug-in hybrid engine, according to Engine1. Looking to further increase interest around the official unveiling expected in a few weeks, Mazda is now publishing a suggestive image of the new model.

We can see through this teaser photo the rear of the future CX-90. More specifically, we note the shape of the rear light clusters, which have a light signature similar to the one we could see on the model CX-60.

Six-cylinder in-line engine

The second image previously released by the Japanese automaker suggests that the CX-90 SUV will also have an in-line six-cylinder engine, visible on the side emblem. However, we still don’t know if it’s the same electrified unit we already know or a different engine. Unfortunately, the officials Mazda they proved to be rather reserved on the technical details of the new model, not wanting to reveal too much information at the moment.

Mazda could also choose to equip the new CX-90 with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder plug-in hybrid system we know from the CX-60. However, we will find out more about the engines available for the new Mazda SUV in a few weeks, the official debut of the new model is scheduled for January.
