Mazda is hooking up to the new CX-60 SUV, arriving in March

The trailer, published by the unconventional Japanese carmaker Mazda, practically confirms the leaked pictures of the car, which were born at the end of last year. It is confirmed that the CX-60 will have typical SUV body shapes, aggressive headlights and vertical intake vents in the bumpers. Then there will also be a large radiator grille.

The CX-60 will be the first Mazda to receive a plug-in hybrid powertrain under the hood. It consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine combined with an electric motor, which together will provide the car with a combined output of 304 horsepower. Mazda did not provide more details, but management added that all-wheel drive will be available.

In addition to the plug-in hybrid unit, Mazda will also receive Skyactive five-seater petrol and diesel engines from Mazda. However, both will be connected to a 48V mild-hybrid unit.

The novelty should precede the arrival of the larger Mazda CX-80, which should get seven seats in the cabin. Both models were then designed for European and Asian roads. The CX-70 and CX-90 models will be introduced in the USA. All four cars will have their premieres in 2022 and 2023.
