Mazatlán Mayor Asks Governor to Allocate Funds for Avenue Rehabilitation

MAZATLÁN._ After acknowledging the importance of the State Governor taking the records of the bridges on Múnich and Santa Rosa avenues to Mexico City, the Mayor stated that he will ask Rubén Rocha Moya to allocate 48 million available for Mazatlán to rehabilitation of Avenida Insurgentes or to continue the expansion of Avenida Delfín.

In an interview this Saturday afternoon, the Municipal President of Mazatlán, Édgar González Zataráin, announced that next Monday all the mayors of Sinaloa will meet with the State Governor as part of the State Civil Protection Committee, but will also take a very important issue for Mazatlán to discuss with Rocha Moya.

“He has already announced two important works that the Governor took the files to Mexico City, about the bridges, which is good, great, I have a topic that there is a resource of 48 million pesos that can be executed if the Governor approves them, We are going to see where, they are going to tell us”, continued González Zataráin.

“It could be for Insurgentes (to rehabilitate this avenue) or it could be to continue Avenida Delfines, those 48 million that are available for Mazatlán, were for Colosio Yes, but it was difficult because the neighbors did not want to donate there and we are not leaving to get into arguments of running over people who later make demands on us and it will be more expensive if they are the beneficiaries if their land increases (the surplus value)”.

For this reason, he said that it was decided to move these resources to another area of the city, because since the neighbors did not want to donate land, the work of the Colosio Sí will not be carried out in the area that goes to the Kraken soccer stadium.

“I take this issue to see if we put it in one side or the other, I have two options, Insurgentes or Avenida Delfín so that this resource is already available and can be tendered, it is a totally state resource,” reiterated the Mayor.

He specified that one of the uneven bridges being built in Mazatlán is the one that will be between Avenida Múnich and the Libramiento Luis Donaldo Colosio, and the other is that of Santa Rosa, which would help this last road to be faster and the people look for it a little more, to give it more viability.

He stressed that it is important that the bridge be built on that avenue and the train tracks because the municipalities have been sanctioned or fined because these rail crossings do not meet the requirements they must have.

“And they don’t comply because there is a very old promise of a bridge at an uneven level and with that, that part would also be fulfilled, so the vision that the Governor had in that sense is precisely aimed at that, that slope,” he reiterated. Gonzalez Zatarain.
