Mayweather jokes that he could beat JC Chavez and his son without his hands

Mexico City. Floyd Mayweather is living his retirement like he has his whole life: with his gloves on and earning millions. “Fighting is my nature, it’s like waking up and having breakfast. It doesn’t matter who is in front of me, it could be Pacquiao or anyone else, that doesn’t matter to me,” says the man who has never been defeated and who will fight this Saturday at the Mexico City Arena against Jonh Gotti III, a boxer with a background in mixed martial arts and blood ties with the head of the Gambino mafia.

Mayweather has no qualms about claiming to be the best in history, pushing aside any legendary names like Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Archie Moore or “Sugar” Ray Leonard. “I’m the best in history, no matter which way you look at it,” he says, confident that he has hard numbers that seem to prove him right.

Although he respects Mexican boxing for its pride and spirit, he could beat anyone. Even when he talks about Julio Cesar Chavez, who defeated his uncle Roger Mayweather twice, he is convinced that he could beat him.

“I can beat Julio Cesar Chavez father and son together. With one hand and even without hands,” he jokes, but in reality he lets his true beliefs be seen.
