After failing to convince the jury with their dishes, Mayra Goñi and Armando Machuca went on to the sentencing night on ‘El Gran Chef: Famosos’. In the last edition, together with Leslie Stewart and Mariella Zanetti, they prepared two dishes in honor of the Heroic City of Tacna.
The first course was a tacneña-style corn cake, the best preparation of which was Mariella’s. She won 5 minutes of help from Giacomo Bocchio (one of the jurors) in the preparation of the next dish: a spicy tacneña.

The tasting of this dish was what determined the sentence. After receiving harsh criticism from the three jurors, especially for the taste, Armando Machuca was the first sentenced of the night. The jury Nelly Rossinelli even indicated that the actor’s tacneña spicy tasted like detergent. On the other hand, Mariella Zanetti was the first saved.
Finally, the jury saved Leslie, which put Goñi in the line of sentenced.
