Mayor’s Visit to Public Schools and New Fall Initiatives: A Recap of the First School Day

The mayor visits public schools

On this back-to-school day, the mayor, Agnès Bourgeais, accompanied by Isabelle Coirier, assistant delegate for education and Jacques Pineau, municipal councilor in charge of catering, will tour public schools (for which the community is responsible ). On-site visits that will allow discussion with the teaching teams.

Class openings and closings

The number of schoolchildren and schoolgirls is slightly increasing in public schools with just over 3,600 children. Two classes have opened: one at the Château-Sud elementary school and the other at the Simone-Veil kindergarten. Two closures were pronounced by the National Education for the Château-Sud and Chêne-Creux elementary schools.

The novelties of the fall

First vegetated schoolyard in Pauline-Roland, summer work in schools, regional educational project… the start of the new school year will bring new things to many schools, as every year.
