Alexandra Marzi (CDU) was elected mayor of the Wirges community with a clear result. Almost 80 percent of voters put their trust in the 41-year-old. On Facebook, the business administration graduate is overwhelmed by the popularity – and not only thanks the voters.
VG Wirges. “I am still overwhelmed by this result, your trust, the never-ending encouragement – all of this touches me very much!”, Marzi wrote on Facebook one day after the election. The Helferskirchenerin was the only applicant for the mayor’s office. She is currently head of the “Public Relations and Citizens Service” department at the district administration.
78.2 percent of the voters had voted for Marzi. Her reaction on Facebook on election night: “It is done”. I would like to thank everyone who voted for their willingness to give their opinion! She thanks all election workers and all colleagues in the administration from the bottom of her heart for their commitment and the smooth operation in this demanding situation.
In the current Facebook post she emphasizes: “This success is not just mine – it is above all a team effort!” (ddp)
