Garbsen – More than 300 children, young people and firefighters from Garbsen and the DLRG went to the cinema together with Mayor Claudio Provenzano on Saturday. The occasion was a big thank you: Provenzano praised the members of the ten Garbsen youth firefighters and the DLRG for their commitment to the common good. “It’s great that you exist and are so busy,” Provenzano said when he was greeted at the cinema.
Going to the movies with the mayor at Christmas is a fixture on the yearly calendar. With the invitation to the cinema before Christmas, the mayor wants to express his appreciation for the volunteers. Due to the pandemic, the Christmas cinema had been canceled for the past two years. “We recovered the visit for 2021 this summer. I was pleased that the usual appointment could now take place again during the Christmas period,” says Provenzano.
