In the last few hours, the community of the city of Pailitas, in the department of Cesar, found the body of a man whose identity and registered firearms. The body was found in an area called Santa Helena, located near the area of Los Llanos, rural area of Pailitas, according to the official report.
Information from the mayor of the city, Alasdair Toro, shows that this man claimed to be a member of the ELN and that he was murdered by members of the same group.
“A rumor started that there was a lifeless person who was there a member of an outlaw group, possibly the ELN “That he was executed by the same criminal group,” said Toro, who also explained that the wounds on the body were caused by a long-range weapon.
The head of the area expressed his worry due to the constant acts of insecurity that have been troubling the residents of this town.
He pointed out that these events have affected the towns of Pelaya and Curumaní, Cesar, near Pailitas, for which he wants more police assistance.
“Unfortunately, as in many parts of the country, some situations have been arising that will change coexistence and obviously public order. Pailitas has not been alienas well as the municipalities close to our territory such as Curumaní and Pelaya,” he said.
