Höflein’s Mayor Otto Auer (ÖVP) then calculated a new plan for expenditure and income in the area of ​​the canal. From January 2024, he wants to pass on the significant surplus to the citizens of the community.

Fees will be reduced by up to 15 percent. That is a saving for a normal single-family house between 60 and 70 euros per year.
