Gemeinde passes on more favorable conditions for communities directly to the residents of Höflein.

Repayments for the loan that the municipalities needed to build the joint sewage treatment plant are slowly being phased out and are much lower. Höflein’s Mayor Otto Auer (ÖVP) then calculated a new plan for expenditure and income in the area of the canal. From January 2024, he wants to pass on the significant surplus to the citizens of the community.

Fees will be reduced by up to 15 percent. That is a saving for a normal single-family house between 60 and 70 euros per year.

“If I can relieve households, then I’ll do it,” says Auer. Conscientious long-term financial planning makes this possible.
