Mayor of Álvaro Obregón Launches Operation to Protect Students and Ensure Safe Return to School

With the commitment to maintain safe educational environments and protect students from any risk situation, the mayor of Álvaro Obregón, Lía Limón, launches the operation “We protect your return to school.”

With the police presence at the entrances and exits of the schools, as well as peripheral surveillance in the four sectors of the mayor’s office (Plateros, San Ángel, Alpes and Santa Fe), the aim is to deter and prevent incidents.

Mayor Limón highlighted additional actions implemented during the school year, which include roving patrols in schools, foot-to-ground tours, and the distribution of flyers with contact information for authorities.

With a total of 700 educational facilities in Álvaro Obregón, the administration has issued 10,152 codes for schools, reaffirming its commitment to student safety.

In addition, 271 talks on self-care and crime prevention have been carried out, positively impacting the student community.

These initiatives seek to promote healthy school coexistence and prevent the consumption of prohibited substances in the surrounding areas. Mayor Limón wishes a happy return to school for the little more than 180 thousand students at the preschool, primary, secondary and high school levels.
