The mayor of A Illa, Luis Arosa, asks Sergas to find a formula so that people over eighty years of age who live in the municipality can be vaccinated against covid and flu without having to cross the bridge. At the moment they have to do it in Vilagarcía or Cambados and since this group has more problems getting around than the younger ones, argues the socialist councilor, he believes that they should be given the possibility of getting vaccinated at the local health center. “There aren’t that many, it could be done easily,” says Arosa, who claims to be receiving requests in this regard in the last few hours.
