Given the increase in cases that was registered nationwide.
The Commune reinforced the application of the coronavirus vaccine in municipal spaces distributed in strategic points of the Party.
Faced with the current context, Mayor Julio Alak determined to multiply prevention actions, among which is reinforcing vaccination in the northern, southern and western areas, as well as in the urban area.
Through spaces that are active from Monday to Friday, residents of the foundation axis have the central vaccination center (55 e/ 18 and 19) available from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. For their part, they also apply the vaccine from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at CAPS 4 in Villa Elisa, located on Camino Centenario and Arana.
In addition, vaccination was reinforced at CAPS 19 of Villa Elvira (612 and 4), a space that is active for residents of the southern zone from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. . Finally, the same was done at CAPS 45 in Olmos (Calle 46 and 158), which operates from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“We are encouraging neighbors to check that their vaccination schedule is up to date and, if it is not, to go to a vaccination center to receive the corresponding dose. To facilitate this, from the Municipality we made the decision to reinforce our vaccination points,” they explained from the Ministry of Health led by Soledad Fernández.
“It is essential to remind everyone how important it is to be vaccinated, because by taking care of ourselves, we take care of each other. From our place we will always work to strengthen and bring the public health system closer to the neighbors,” they added.
In an effort to provide a broader service to the community, work is underway to expand vaccination points to more municipal spaces. To ensure quality care, community personnel are being trained for this purpose.
Vaccination schedules according to groups
Different criteria are established for the administration of reinforcements, taking into account the age and health conditions of the population:
- People under 50 years of age without underlying diseases: 1 booster every year.
- People under 50 years of age with chronic diseases or obesity, and health personnel: Booster after 6 months and then 1 booster every year.
- People over 50 years of age, pregnant or immunocompromised: Boosters every 6 months (in people who have received Sinopharm or who have immunocompromising diseases, the primary regimen is 3 doses).
To prevent COVID, it is essential to ensure you have the complete primary vaccination schedule with two doses. In addition, it is recommended to review the date of the last booster and follow the instructions according to the group to which you belong.
