The mayor-elect of Córdoba, Daniel Passerini, expressed his desire to “start talking” with the referents of national Justicialism, but he clarified that, in these elections, the Peronism of the Mediterranean province will support the presidential candidacy of the local governor, Juan Schiaretti.
“Hopefully this is a stage where we start to talk. We belong to a Peronism that 24 years ago won a historic election led by José Manuel de la Sota, in a province that was very radical. We want the State to be the guarantor of the social justice,” Passerini said in statements to Destape Radio.
However, the elected community chief of the capital of Córdoba remarked that at this stage, “We do for Our Country”, the space led by Schiaretti, competes with the Unión por la Patria (UxP) in the face of the simultaneous and mandatory open primaries ( PASO) on August 13 and the general ones on October 22.
“Peronism moved away from Cordoba society at the time of resolution 125. That was a measure applied by (the then Minister of Economy, Martín) Lousteau, who curiously today is a candidate for head of Government for the City of Buenos Aires in Together for Change (JxC), said Passerini.
Meanwhile, the leader assured that Massa “I know him” because “we have participated in a common space with De la Sota”, but that “since then we have not worked together” and insisted that “Juan Schiaretti is our candidate”.
Regarding the municipal elections that were held last Sunday in the city of Córdoba and which determined the victory of the list he was leading, Passerini indicated that “politics won over marketing and economic interests.”
