The mayor of Waalwijk, Sacha Ausems, is angry with the approximately one hundred RKC supporters who sought a confrontation with the Mobile Unit (ME) on Sunday after the match between RKC and Ajax. The riot police had to be called in to control the situation and deal with ‘several serious charges’ and batons. After 45 minutes, the police said that the situation was under control. No one was arrested.
Ajax supporters did not stop the riots. In the press release, the police said it was ‘unfortunate’ for what ‘the so-called RKC supporters’ did.
