Hvaler municipality asks people not to carry out quarantine and isolation at the cabin. It is the municipality itself that comes with the prayer for theirs websites Sunday evening.
Mayor Mona Vauger confirms to Dagbladet on Wednesday that the municipality has had some cases of people carrying out isolation and quarantine at the cabin.
– We fear that we will get infection to Hvaler if many people use the cabin for quarantine or isolation, and we do not want that, says Vauger, and continues:
– We have done well with little infection so far in the pandemic, but we are very afraid of getting a lot of infection here.
The mayor points out, however, that the municipality does not have the authority to refuse people to carry out quarantine or isolation in the cabin, but that it is intended as an invitation to continue to participate in the “volunteer work”.
– Nice encouragement
Vauger refers to FHI’s recommendation to stay as mobile as possible and stay at home, whether you are in quarantine or in isolation.
– This is intended as a pleasant invitation to continue to participate in the charity event and show consideration. We still have to be careful, Vauger points out.
– How worried are you as mayor that there will be an outbreak of infection on Hvaler?
– I am very worried all the time, and very afraid that we will have major outbreaks here. It has become an established reflex, says Vauger.
