Apostol Mușat, former mayor of Snagov, in the Jilava Penitentiary Hospital, asks the judges who sentenced him, in the case “Băneasa Farm, to four years in prison, to motivate the decision before he dies. He has little left to live on, and spends the last months of his life behind bars, convicted of enforcing two court decisions.

Here is the letter addressed to the judges, according to clujust.ro.
”Judge Ionuț Matei, Judge Florentina Dragomir, Judge Ioana Ilie
“I am the (still) living testimony of ‘calculations in justice'”
I am writing this open letter to you and my family at a difficult time. I hope that these lines, which can no longer help me too much, can help to awaken your conscience, thus saving other people who come to your judgment and, being innocent, will have a correct decision, which reflects the truth. Do not be deprived of their liberty even if they have not broken the law. As you did with me and other ‘colleagues’ in the case. Let this great judicial abuse, which will certainly be demonstrated (I am sorry that I will not seize this moment), a beginning in correcting the judicial system in Romania, to offer any litigant the guarantee of a fair trial. The courtroom must be the place where justice is shared, not a place where various political or economic situations are resolved, at the behest of certain insiders. They are the (still) living testimony of ‘calculations in justice’. A case made to order, with targets unrelated to the charges in the case.
I am currently at the Jilava Penitentiary Hospital. I received a 4-year sentence for abuse of office, consisting in the fact that I implemented two final and irrevocable court decisions, which went through judicial appeals, a total of 10 judges. I would have committed a crime if I had not respected the final, irrevocable decision of some judges.
You, Mr. Matei, Mrs. Dragomir, Mrs. Ilie, condemned me because I respected the law with holiness.
“Nothing can be done for me anymore.” Last wish
One week ago I was informed by the medical staff of Jilava Hospital that my health condition is so serious due to multiple metastases discovered. It seems that this conviction of 17 December 2020 deeply affected me. Nothing can be done for me anymore.
As a “last wish” I want, showing that “corruption in justice” kills, that the profile bodies, the interested ones, to study my case, to rehabilitate me morally (at least) if those exposed by me will be found as true, and, why not, to take steps to prevent such abuses from happening.
Honored Completely C4 from the ICCJ, you were obliged to communicate within 30 days the motivation of the decision by which I was convicted. 105 days have passed.
According to the doctors, I still have about a month or two to live. Do you think that they are enough for me to read the reasons why you thought you should take my freedom and, behold, my life?
I want to know, before I go to a better world, why you condemned me. How will you justify such an injustice? I do not ask for mercy, I do not make selfish requests! I ask you to respect the law “.
