Mayor Adams this morning announced a plan to partner with 50 places of worship to house around 1,000 migrants.
Participating sites will offer food, showers and legal assistance to single adult men.

The mayor once again asked the federal government to intervene to speed up work authorization for migrants.
“The asylum seeker crisis is a national crisis that needs a national solution. But we are doing our part to help our brothers and sisters in New York City. Join us now in the Alcvaldia”, wrote the mayor in a message on social networks before starting the press conference with the religious leaders.
