“In normal times we manage an annual budget of one million euros for works. In 2023 this will amount to 27 million euros and in 2024 we would still exceed that amount. In two or three years we will therefore have to do the equivalent of 60 years of works implement,” says mayor Fabien Beltran.
Construction works will take into account the possible impact of future flooding. The redesigned sports hall will be placed on stilts, with a parking garage underneath that can also serve as a storm basin. Some of the buildings will also be demolished to make room for nature.
