Maybe Werner Could Score Against Liverpool

London

Timo Werner failed to make his debut together Chelsea with goals. Maybe, the sticker from Germany can get it in the face Liverpool.

Werner is one of Chelsea’s recruits in the transfer market this summer. He was bought from RB Leipzig for 47.5 million pounds or Rp. 834 billion.

Werner’s appearance at Chelsea is also interesting to look forward to. Because at Leipzig, the 24-year-old player can perform brilliantly, making 34 goals and 13 assists.

Werner has also made his debut with Chelsea. He played from the first minute when the Blues faced him Brighton & Hove Albion at Amex Stadium, Tuesday (15/9) in the morning WIB, in the first week Premier League 2020/2021.

In that match, Werner has not yet opened the coffers of his Chelsea goal. His only contribution resulted in a penalty, in the squad’s 3-1 win Frank Lampard.

“If I had gone one step further I could have scored a goal myself, but in this case it is not possible. In the end it was a clear penalty,” said Werner, commenting on his performance against Brighton, on the team’s official website.

“Excellence was very important in those moments of the match, because we didn’t play very well. We had some difficulties because Brighton did very well from the start with their pressure,” he explained.

Furthermore, Chelsea will face Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (20/09/2020) in the second week of the Premier League. Werner hopes to score a goal in that match, despite realizing the difficulty of the match because he has to face the defending Premier League champions.

“Maybe in the second game I will score a goal, it will be more difficult because against Liverpool. But, I will try and give my best. For now, I will gladly help the team,” he said.
