The Premier League Cup Final is not just an opportunity for him Tottenham Hotspur to win a trophy. This match is also considered to be a determinant of future continuity Harry Kane.
Despite having an impressive individual record, Harry Kane has never won a title with Tottenham at all. So, the 27-year-old striker was often advised to leave Tottenham in order to win important titles.
After being eliminated from the Europa League, Tottenham’s chances of winning a trophy this season are only left in the English League Cup. Jose Mourinho’s troops will face Manchester City in the top party to be held on April 25.
Former player Tottenham Glenn Hoddle realized the importance of the Premier League Cup final for his former club. If Tottenham become champions, in his opinion it is not impossible Kane will remain.
“The Premier League Cup final against Manchester City, for Harry Kane, the team, Daniel Levy, the Tottenham crossing, is really a very big game,” said Hoddle at Evening Standard.
“It can be done, you can beat Manchester City in one game, no doubt.”
“If that happens it might make Harry think that it can be a stepping stone to more trophies and I think he will happily stay at Tottenham.”
However, Glenn Hoddle would not be surprised if Harry Kane eventually left Tottenham Hotpsur. He also believes fans will not blame Kane if that happens.
“But if there is the best team in the world, offering money and a chance to win a trophy, it will definitely make him a little interested,” continued Hoddle.
“Nobody will blame him if he leaves Tottenham. Even the biggest Spurs fans will understand. This game against City is a big thing for the club.”
Harry Kane still under contract with Tottenham until 2024. The clubs he has been linked to include Mancheter City and Real Madrid.
