Maybank Error: Director of HR Company in Malaysia Receives Millions, Plans Customer-Friendly Course

A director of an HR company in Malaysia had millions transferred to her account in November due to an error by Maybank. According to the woman, the bank employees handled the situation so unprofessionally that she wants to give the staff a customer-friendly course as a gift.

Last month, out of nowhere, Hafidzah Abdullah saw an amount of 404 million ringgit (almost 80 million euros) in her account. Shortly afterwards, both her private and company accounts were frozen. And this during the period in which salaries had to be paid.

The incident caused Abdullah some frustration, she said LinkedIn profilel. According to the director, the bank was not helpful and had to come by daily to help correct the error.

Abudallah invites the bank’s staff to visit her company. There, she believes, employees can be trained in customer service and work ethics.

Maybank has now announced that the error has been corrected, it writes New Straits Time.
