Mayapada Rights Issue, Tahir Commitment to Strengthen Capital

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk (MAYA) plans to hold a rights issue, aka a limited public offering (PUT) with a scheme of issuing new shares through Pre-emptive Rights (HMETD).

In disclosing information to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Thursday (27/11/2020) Bank Mayapada plans to issue as many as 5 billion new Series B shares or 42.26% of the paid-up capital.

Bank Mayapada plans to hold a General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) on January 4, 2021 to seek shareholder approval. Management is reportedly committed to absorbing the rights issue.


For information, in the third quarter of 2020, net profit attributable to owners grew 45% to Rp 208.26 billion from the second quarter of 2020.

Meanwhile, the profit before tax was recorded at Rp 260.09 billion. The bank, which is owned by Dato Sri Tahir, has distributed credit until the third quarter of 2020 amounting to Rp 53.64 trillion, while the company’s assets are recorded at Rp 86.65 trillion.

The company’s NPL Nett decreased from 2.42% to 1.91%. In terms of capital or CAR, it was recorded that it increased from 17.10% to 19.08%. Tahir, as a shareholder of Bank Mayapada, who has injected a capital of Rp 4.5 trillion, has made the company’s CAR even higher.

The company’s total DPK in the third quarter of 2020 reached Rp 61.46 trillion, while the LDR was recorded at 87.28%.
