Djurgården lost Sunday’s derby against AIK at home at Tele2 Arena by a full 4-1.
– It’s sour. Really sour. But it is important to just look further towards the next match, says goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterström.
– We fought well in the first half, but then they scored an early goal (2-1) in the second half. It puts pressure and we lost focus there.
The 2-1 goal was scored by Sebastian Larsson on a free kick from the right wing. The former national team player screwed the ball over Widell Zetterström and into the far corner.
How do you see that goal? Should you have taken the free kick?
– Yes, I think I should have done that. At the same time, he is doing well. He got a really good hit, but I absolutely think I should take it.
Djurgården’s goalkeeper claims that he was not surprised by Larsson.
– I know that he is a fantastic free kick shooter and then it is important to be prepared for the shot, but he made it dim down in the distance. Surt. But there is not much to focus on now. It is important to see what you did wrong and make sure it does not happen again.
The 23-year-old has now made seven straight appearances in the Allsvenskan after Aleksandr Vasiutin’s injury. He is happy to be the first letter in Djurgården but emphasizes the importance of always being on your toes and working to keep the quality up.
– You must also be able to handle matches like this. It will go up and down during a career. The important thing is to be able to handle situations when things are a little worse.
Djurgården leads the Allsvenskan, on the same points as Malmö. Down to third AIK, there are three points.
