Due to the coronavirus, the SPÖ was unable to allow marches and rallies to take place on the street on May 1st in 2021. “Together with the SPÖ Ansfelden, however, we have moved our rally to the Internet to draw attention to major political issues,” emphasizes SPÖ -District party chairman and top candidate for the state parliament Tobias Höglinger.

It’s just about greed, ”says Höglinger.
“Politics has a clear task”

Höglinger affirmed: “In my opinion politics has a clear task and that means finding solutions for the people. To say “it’s just the way it is” is not my understanding of politics! But I can promise you one thing: We Reds will certainly not give up! As social democrats, we will continue to make suggestions and continue to fight to ensure that jobs in Steyr, in the region and throughout Upper Austria are maintained and that new ones are created! ”One thing is very clear for the SPÖ Linz-Land and will always be that way be: “We as the SPÖ stand by the side of the workers.”
“Real help instead of mold packs”
A second important topic in Tobias Höglinger’s speech was the communities. Corona has massive financial implications for the communities. For the SPÖ Linz-land it needs compensation for tax losses and real help instead of sham packs!

“Violence against women must be counteracted immediately”
The state chairwoman of the SPÖ women, Renate Heitz, addressed the issues of violence against women and equal opportunities on the labor market in her speech. “This week, the ninth woman in Austria this year was killed by her – in this case – ex-partner. This must be counteracted immediately! It has to start with the boys – non-violent communication and violence prevention have to be the central goal from kindergarten to high school. We finally need more women’s counseling centers, women’s shelters and transitional apartments to make it easier for women at risk to get out of violent relationships! ”Said Heitz.
