The Indomobil Group has launched the Maxus MIFA 9 at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show or GIIAS 2023. This electric car is said to be a challenger to the Toyota Alphard in the premium segment.
Maxus MIFA 9, which is present at GIIAS 2023, is still imported in its entirety from China. However, an Indomobil Group representative confirmed that the vehicle will soon be assembled locally in Cikampek, West Java.
“Car assembly in Indonesia just started at the beginning of the year. We have a production facility in Cikampek. So because new product deliveries start next year, the units they receive are automatically assembled locally,” said Indomobil Group Business Development, Andre Ciu at ICE BSD, South Tangerang , Saturday (10/8).

According to him, the assembly of the Maxus MIFA 9 will utilize production facilities belonging to the Indomobil Group. Later, the company only needs to add a production line for these vehicles.
“We already have a factory facility whose production capacity is still sufficient. We are using the Indomobil factory which is already in Cikampek, then we just need to add the line,” he said.
Furthermore, he added, when it is fully operational, the line can produce a thousand units of Maxus MIFA 9 per year. The hope is that when demand increases, capacity will be added.

In appearance, the Maxus MIFA 9 does resemble the Toyota Alphard. This can be seen from the large body and premium color play. The vehicle, which will later be assembled locally, has dimensions of 5,270 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width and 1,840 mm in height.
Like other premium cars, the MIFA 9 cabin is made very luxurious and elegant. The manufacturer equips it with a captain seat type chair which has eight massage modes.

In addition, the vehicle is equipped with advanced features such as a 12.3-inch entertainment screen that can be connected to a cellphone, wireless charger, 64-color ambient light, driver’s seat with eight-way adjustment, heating and air conditioning that can be adjusted via the screen, Apple CarPlay-Android Auto connectivity, nine USD, and many more.
In addition, the vehicle is equipped with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) security feature which consists of Full Space Frame (FSF), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Auto Vehicle Hold (AVH) Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force. Distribution (EBD), Electronic Brake Assist (EBA), and Stability Control System (SCS).
Kemudian ada Curve Brake Control (CBC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist System (HAS), Intelligent High-Beam Control (IHC), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS), Driver Monitor System (DMS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), 6 airbags dan masih banyak lagi.
Maxus MIFA 9 uses an electric motor with a power of 245 hp and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 90 kwh which can travel a maximum of 520 km in full condition. Normal charging time is 8.5 hours, while with fast charging technology it only takes 30 minutes to charge from 30 to 80 percent.
Maxus MIFA 9 can be ordered at GIIAS 2023 in one variant. Interested consumers can redeem it at a price of IDR 1.42 billion with status on the road Jakarta. Meanwhile, the unit warranty is five years (100 thousand km) and the battery is eight years (200 thousand km).
