JAKARTA – After a rigorous selection, the collaboration program of Telkomsel, MAXstream, and Wahana Edukasi finally reached its peak. To be precise, at the MAXscript Class Awards 2020 event which was held on July 8, 2021 ago. There are 10 winners of the 2021 MAXscript Class Champion.
Vice President of Digital Lifestyle Telkomsel Nirwan Lesmana said, MAXscript Class is a writing, competition and training program aimed at accelerating the regeneration of screenwriters in Indonesia.

This program presents a number of experienced mentors who will choose the best writers who will then be guided to participate in serial projects at Wahana Kreator with MAXstream in the future.
Since registration was first opened on October 28-November 24, 2020, there were 1,693 participants who registered. The participants were selected and received writing materials in eight stages: Issues & Arguments, Premises, Character’s & Character Arc, Short Synopsis, Outline, Treatment, Dialogue, and Guest Lecturer.
In these eight stages, thousands of participants from all over Indonesia were then screened and only the 10 best participants were announced at the 2020 MAXscript Class Award event.
The holding of the MAXscript Class Award itself is nothing but the culmination of a year’s MAXscript Class activities and as an event to give awards to winners who have participated in MAXscript Class 2020 activities.
From 1,693 participants who registered, 10 winners were selected and the top three ranked with a total prize of Rp. 150 million.
“Recently, the rapid development of the creative industry, especially during the pandemic, has made the audience’s need for content higher,” said Wahana Kreator Nusantara CEO Salman Aristo.
According to him, it is important to be able to bring in new writers so that the stories produced will be more diverse.
The 10 best participants were Wahid Rahman (Us/Us), Salman Hakim (Kari), Qathrunnada Fakhrina (In Silence), Muhammad Ahdiar Syaifan (Untitled), May Risky Samosir (Twelfth Full Moon), Iqbal Alfajri (Airplane). Tough), Grace Wijaya (Memories in Cinema), Aulia Hakim (The Syndicate), Ariel Febriba Niswar (Instamama), Kurnia Cahya Putra (Baur Semesta).
From the ten best participants, three best rankings have been selected with a total prize of Rp. 150 million, namely Salman Hakim, Aulia Hakim, and Kurnia Cahya Putra.
The selected winners have the opportunity to be involved in script and creative development for a number of MAXstream Originals projects, including the Indonesia Binner Series, to the Love Games Movie.

According to Nirwan, in the future the MAXscript Class program will become a routine program that will later become a forum to open wider opportunities and opportunities for more filmmakers and creative industry players in the country in creating quality entertainment for the people of Indonesia.
