Maximum number of nursing colleges will be opened in UP, Bihar and Rajasthan, know seats and complete admission process

New Delhi. In the next few years, 157 more Nursing Colleges will be opened in the country. The Modi cabinet has given its approval on Wednesday itself. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that the cabinet has decided to open 157 new government nursing colleges. These colleges will be established after the year 2014 along with new government medical colleges opened in the country, in which B.Sc Nursing will be studied. There will be 100 seats for B.Sc Nursing in all these colleges. After the formation of these nursing colleges in the country, the number of seats will increase to 15,700.

On Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet approved Rs 1570 crore for the establishment of these colleges. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that this will provide affordable and quality nursing education. The country’s largest state UP will benefit the most from this. UP will get 27 new nursing colleges. After this comes the number of Rajasthan where 23 new nursing colleges will be built. Bihar will get 8, Jharkhand will get 5 nursing colleges.

There are 1 lakh 6 thousand MBBS seats in the country and 1 lakh 18 thousand BSC Nursing seats.

With this decision, the needs of the country and the world will be fulfilled. Today Indian nurses are giving their services in many countries of the world.

How is admission
Admissions to B.Sc (Hons) Nursing courses are done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scores. Admission in B.Sc Nursing is done after passing the NEET exam. It is a 4 years undergraduate course. Candidates age should be 17 years for Nursing admission.

Medical device policy also got approval
There are currently 5,324 nursing colleges in the country. The Modi government is going to increase it to 5,481 in the next two years. After the Corona period, the government is paying special attention to the health sector in the country. Whether it is a matter of purchasing medical equipment from abroad or other types of medical equipment are also being developed in the country itself. For this, the Modi government has also approved the medical device policy.
