Food prices have increased in Ukraine

Food products in Ukraine in December 2021 compared to the same month in 2020 increased by 13.3%.
In Ukraine, in 2021, the growth in consumer prices amounted to 10.0%, which is the highest rate since 2017 (13.7%). This is reported by the State Statistics Service.
It is noted that consumer prices in December 2021 increased by 0.6% compared to November. Food products in Ukraine in December 2021 compared to the same month in 2020 increased by 13.3%.
Among the products that increased in price the most were sunflower oil (prices increased by 38.8%) and sugar (increased by 28.3%).
Over the year, prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 9.4%, while prices for clothing and footwear fell by 3.5%.
The cost of housing, water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel rose by 9.8%.
Prices for household items and household appliances went up by 4.2%, the cost of healthcare services increased by 6.1%, transport went up by 11.1%, prices for communications increased by 7.4%, for recreation and culture by 5.0%.
Education in Ukraine has risen in price by 17.0%, restaurants and hotels have risen in price by 9.0%.
