The Mossos ask to avoid going by car

The Mossos d’Esquadra have asked citizens to avoid driving and going to flood-prone areas due to the warning of violent weather in several parts of Catalonia, especially in the Barcelona region of Baix Llobregat.

The Generalitat has launched a violent weather warning in the crown of Barcelona, ​​specifically in the regions of Baix Llobregat, Garraf, Barcelonès, Vallès Occidental and Alt Penedès, in view of the forecast of wind gusts of more than 90 kilometers per hour and hail more than two centimeters in diameter.

In a message on social networks, the Mossos have asked that people avoid driving and not go to flood-prone areas.

Civil Protection of the Generalitat has kept the alert of the special emergency plan for flood risk, the Inuncat, activated since last night, in view of the forecast of intense rains, of up to 20 liters per square meter in 30 minutes, this Wednesday in Tarragona, especially in Terres de l’Ebre, Barcelona and central Catalonia.
