The government representative confirmed the postponement of ONNED’s event for the 50th anniversary of the New Democracy, to a question from Documentonews in the political editors’ briefing.
Specifically, in a related question, Pavlos Marinakis said that “as far as I know it gets postponed for two weeks.” In fact, he connected the postponement with the timing of the speakers.
They tremble at the small participation “ala Rigillis”
The reality is that ONNED is postponing the event that was scheduled for next Saturday (19/10), as in Maximos they fear the possibility of a small participation, as happened at the blue street party, in Rigillis (4/10).

It is noted that the prime minister was also scheduled to speak at the event of the blue faction, who after the resounding slap of the two former prime ministers who were absent from Rigillis, wanted to send a message of unity and renewal, to “lower the buoy” and identify them with the “old”.

Another fear that shook Maximos and led to the postponement of ONNED’s event, is that it would be overshadowed again by the resounding absences of the two former presidents of the ND – Antonis Samaras and Costas Karamanlis, as well as Vangelis Meimarakis, who in addition to being a former president of the party, is one of the founding members of the blue youth and was also president of ONNED (1984-1987).

It seems that Kyriakos Mitsotakis is under a lot of pressure within the party and this is also reflected in the youth of New Democracy.
