“Every intra-party open democratic process is very good news for our political system” the government representative said in the briefing to the political editors, when asked about yesterday’s internal party elections of PASOK.
In particular, Pavlos Marinakis also said that “we welcome any participation even if it did not justify the most optimistic and the expectations”, while he added that “we have to see what the final decision of the PASOK voters will be”.
At the same time, he mentioned whether Maximos is worried about the high turnout in PASOK’s internal party elections (a little over 300,000) that “it is not a matter of concern but of expectation. What we are waiting for is for the country to obtain a reliable cost-effective alternative, so that comparisons can be made.”
Finally, the government representative clarified that “I had given the same answer after the corresponding procedure in SYRIZA. The expectations were not met nor were those who expected an alternative satisfied.”
It is noted that in the blue wells there is satisfaction with the result of the internal party elections of PASOK, since as they say “no huge change is visible”. Nevertheless, they are closely following the developments until next Sunday, when the final result for the PASOK presidency will be announced.
