They say, here, that ODAP participated in the most important annual exhibition in Greece to communicate with the general public, as do all the other Organizations and all the other Ministries. There is document No. E776/2024 of the General Secretariat of Communication and Information, where the communication plan as a whole has been approved and implemented, based on which the Organization implements specific outreach actions, so there is an initial approval. Then, it is stated, in the specific document, that ODAP has the obligation to develop communication services and participate in trade-tourism exhibitions”.

In fact, he added that “one of them is HELEXPO, the annual exhibition. The participation of ODAP in D.E.Th. used the resources of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, according to a specific implementation decision 16112 28/8/2023 of the Ministry, which says “participation in exhibitions” and in fact, specifically describes the specific activity more widely in D.E.T.. The contract in question, which was concluded between D.E.Th. – HELEXPO granted ODAP two igloo-domed constructions, it describes precisely, that is, also the spaces, with a total area of ​​300 sq.m. The location was specific, strategically chosen by ODAP, at a specific point – so as not to bore you.”

“The cost will be amortized in subsequent D.E.Th events”

Finally, the government representative noted that “and the costs paid by ODAP for the restoration and upgrading of highly aesthetic and visible spaces, will be repaid in subsequent D.E.T. events. All assignments are completely legal – it is reported here specifically, that’s why you asked me- and approved, while the physical objects are distinct, as are the common vocabulary codes of public contracts that have all been posted on CLARITY. I can attach the relevant announcement to you and I think we are fully referring to this response.”

Maximos may be “covering” as always, Ms. Mendoni, but Documento’s questions remain unanswered. Since we have a fixed date that the International Exhibition of Thessaloniki is held, why does the whole process of awarding the project have to be done at the last minute? Furthermore, why not hold an open tender and have one of the candidates undertake the entire project? And the most basic of the questions was why it had to cost almost 200,000 euros.
