She continues: ‘The day I turned sixteen I went straight to work and have always had to support myself like everyone else. Getting so tired of this.’
It’s for Maxime, herself mother of toddler Claire and pregnant with her second child, her first time participating in this program. In a comment she says:
“I participate in Four Hands On One Belly because I became a young, unplanned mother myself. Because of this I think I can support the expectant mother well and give valuable advice. Becoming a young mother is very tough, but also very beautiful”
From Karin to Leona
Other well-known mothers who can be seen in this ninth season of the NPO 3 hit are comedian Karin Bloemen, singer Leona Philippo, actress Victoria Koblenko, reality star Channah Koerten and presenter Airen Mylène together with her husband former hockey player Taeke Taekema.
Angela Groothuizen, who, like many of the celebrities mentioned, has often assisted a teenage mother in this program, will kick off on September 14 during the first episode.
