Máxima supports and helps young people who don’t like it for a while

The Queen started the afternoon with talks with organizations from various Dutch municipalities. The Thrive Amsterdam Mental Healthy organization, for example, aims to promote the mental health and resilience of all Amsterdammers and focuses in particular on young people and migrants in the city. Another initiative is @ease, which offers a place in five Dutch cities where young people can talk about their problems.

After the talks, Máxima was given a tour of Lab6, an Amsterdam partnership of various youth organizations from Nieuw-West. The Queen also spoke with young people herself. She visited El Mazouni Coaching and Sports Guidance, among other places, where she spoke with two girls who are coached by El Mazouni. In De Studio, Queen Máxima spoke with young people who make music and write song lyrics.

Finally, representatives of the municipalities of Someren and Peel & Maas spoke about how they promote the mental health of young people in their region. This included the Roger That Inspiration Lab. Two young people told the Queen about their experiences with this meeting place where young people can discover their talents and strengthen their self-reliance.
