In order to provide residents with fast, convenient and even safer shopping, “Maxima Latvija” reveals an unprecedented way of shopping in the Baltics – “Scan & go” or “Scan yourself”, which provides the opportunity to scan a product in the “Maxima” mobile app, putting products in your own or store-bought bag, and, as a result, by conveniently paying for the goods in a special payment area without removing the products from the bag. This is the first shopping solution of its kind in the Baltics, which combines both the scanning function in the application and a separate billing area. The total investment is 150 thousand euros and the service is currently available in the “Maxima XXX” store in the shopping center “Akropole”.

“The “Scan by yourself” feature of the Maxima mobile app provides very simple steps for making purchases:

if you do not have your own bag, choose a shopping bag in the store and scan its barcode with your smartphone;

go shopping – scan the barcodes of the selected products and put the goods in a bag;

in the payment area, scan the QR code, choose the payment method and pay for the purchase – with the app, bank payment card, gift card, including up to 99% of the purchase amount is paid with the accumulated MAXIMA money.
The Maxima app is available for Android, iOS, and Huawei operating systems. Existing users must update the application in their application store in case this “Scan by myself” function does not appear. In addition to the new Scan by yourself feature, users of the Maxima mobile app will be able to keep track of the size of their shopping cart, check the price of goods, easily review current stock offers, use the virtual “Thank You” card, as well as find the nearest Maxima store and use other advantages.
