Queen Máxima paid a visit to the OLVG in East this afternoon. She came there to get information about the digitization of healthcare during the corona crisis.

Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the OLVG has focused on further digitization of care in order to provide patients and their families with the best possible remote support.
Máxima spoke to doctors and nurses about the corona crisis, among other things. In the medical control center, she received information about the Corona Check app from employees and users. Via the app, patients can submit their health data daily via a smartphone. The app was rolled out nationally after a trial period in Amsterdam.
Máxima also received a demonstration of the ‘DigiPoli’ cardiology, with which patients can keep track of heart complaints and ask questions. When necessary, the app can be used to connect directly to the hospital’s medical team.
