Their message was approximately the following: the opponent’s strength doesn’t allow an objective assessment of the level of a football player, anyone who moves more or less is able to stand out from the “captured” Estonians, and Glushenkov needs to be proved at the RPL level – there is a suspicion that he will dissolve there.

I wanted to agree with this promise only in part, because, in my opinion, many of the strong qualities of attacking players can be evaluated at any level. For example, speed data, working with the ball at maximum speed for yourself, the ability to take the ball away from the side, intelligence, the ability to find free space, and so on. Yes, in elite football, a factor of increased intensity and constant work in the limit of time and space appears – and therefore adaptation is often painful.
But in the case of Glushenkov, for some reason, initially there was confidence that with his qualities he would be in demand and effective, including in the RPL. Maxim left “Spartak” for rent in the winter, because he wanted to have more playing time, got this time – and began to reveal himself in all its glory. Following the results of three summer tours, the pupil of Chertanovo turned into one of the brightest players in the championship in a short period, not only scored two goals, but also won the interest of neutral spectators.

My favorite episode from the game Glushenkova, famously characterizing his style, occurred in the 51st minute of the match with Lokomotiv. “Wings”, with a winning score, were preparing to execute a free kick. Nobody went to someone else’s goal, the team was not going to attack, was afraid to miss the counterattack and therefore just wanted to keep the ball. But Glushenkov alone strained someone else’s defense THREE openings in a row.

Restlessness and the ability to open up are Glushenkov’s most important qualities, allowing him to be effective in quick attacks and with minimal space. Maxim doesn’t just open, he reacts very quickly to a change in the situation and changes the direction of movement, due to which he manages to get to the ball even in cases when the pass went to the wrong zone into which he was waiting.
An example is the Wings dangerous attack in the away game against Zenit. Having played a short time with a partner, Glushenkov waited for a pass towards the flank – to the corridor closest to himself, which none of the rivals controlled. He would go towards the flank, not the gate, but due to high-speed data, he had a chance to create a sharpness.

However transmission from Zinkovsky suddenly went behind Rakitsky closer to the center. Rakitsky had two meters of handicap, but this did not bother Glushenkov. He prepares a zone for himself in advance by moving the body (the ball on the one hand, the opponent on the other), then abruptly moonlightes with a sideways movement, turns around and leaves the opponent behind.
It would seem commonplace characteristics for a professional player, but about half of Russian football players do not have the skills of constantly moving towards the ball (waiting for it on the spot) and do not have an effective first touch when taking it. Glushenkov, due to the reception and turns, not only develops quick attacks, but also earns fouls for himself – for three summer matches, he was fouled 10 times.

The current style of Wings is as comfortable as possible for Glushenkov and fully contributes to the demonstration of his strengths. Maxim has excellent numbers on shots, strokes, ball advancements, and touchdowns. But, I believe, this is not all that the pupil of Chertanovo is capable of. In the following games, I personally expect an increase in efficiency as an assistant. Many of the “Wings” quick attacks he fails to bring to mind because of sloppy gears that go not to the partner’s turn, but to the side. Plus, according to his sensations, Glushenkov has not yet shown his subtlety in the aggravating actions by half.
To Spartak, now there is only one request: you have lost Soltmurada Bakaevaare close to letting go Rudenkofail in development Ignatova. So at least try not to miss Glushenkov. With a counterattack style Tedesco Maxim could be useful now. And in general I’m not sure that the same Larsson above it in potential (not to be confused with the current level). Or even more so Mirzov.
