Red Bull drivers list penalty points: Verstappen’s title has flaws that are already causing him trouble for 2022

Max Verstappen is one of the three Red Bull drivers who are ahead in the 2021 penalty point table. It could be very tight, especially for Verstappen, in 2022 because the world champion takes the mortgage of five penalty points with him throughout the season. Mick Schumacher keeps a clean slate.
It was last year all four Britishwho were at the top of the table of penalties, a new pattern has emerged this year. In Spielberg, the Japanese even took three offenses with him: He obstructed Valtteri Bottas in qualifying and drove illegally over the pit entry line twice in the race. In addition, he was fined in Brazil and Saudi Arabia for a collision with an Aston Martin – first Lance Stroll then Sebastian Vettel.
Verstappen takes five penalty points with him for the entire 2022 season
With seven points each behind the leader, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez land in second place. Verstappen even started collecting points quite late. Up until the Italian Grand Prix in Monza he had no points at all, then they followed Collision with Lewis Hamiltonfor which he got the blame.

The next offense occurred in Qatar’s qualifying when he disregarded the yellow flags and was given a penalty. In addition, there were still three points for an advantage off the track in Saudi Arabia, which meant that he had to give up the place to World Cup rival Hamilton, and the subsequent collision, which was hotly debated.
That puts Verstappen in a bit of a mess for 2022. He has to be careful, because by the 16th race of the season he will have at least seven penalty points on his account – if there are twelve within a year, a driver will be banned from a race.

And because his sentences in Qatar and Saudi Arabia were so late that they only expire at the end of the coming season, it is already certain that he will take the mortgage of five penalty points with him for the entire 2022 season. Another season like 2021 with seven penalty counters would definitely get him a suspension.
Mick Schumacher keeps clean slate in rookie year
Behind the Red Bull top three is Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin), another former Red Bull driver who, like Nikita Masepin (Haas) and Nicholas Latifi (Williams), has six points on the account. The German doesn’t carry them around with him for long, though, as he had already collected five of them at the first race of the season in Bahrain.
Former world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) only got two points for the collision with Max Verstappen at Silverstone last season.
Mick Schumacher (Haas) made it through the season without a penalty point in his debut year in Formula 1 and, like four other drivers, kept a clean slate. In addition to the German, there were the two Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo and Robert Kubica, who was Kimi Raikkonen Alfa Romeo had represented twice.
