Helmut Marko: “We changed the brake pads before the race, but for some reason they wore out quickly during the race. As a result, Max did not feel the brakes; in some turns he had to shift his balance forward, in others – back. It was very difficult for him to attack at the limit, but he masterfully solved these problems.
As usual, we told him to play one position first, then focus on another and gradually move on. From this point of view everything was successful, but it was certainly the most difficult race of the year.”
