Max Verstappen Dominates British GP with 6th Consecutive Victory

Who else? Max Verstappen has won the British GP, his 6th victory in a row. The battle for the other podium places was finger licking good, Lando Norris finished 2nd and Lewis Hamilton 3rd.

Max Verstappen quickly puts things in order after a bad start

A sixth win in a row for Max Verstappen, but this time it wasn’t that easy. The Dutchman did not get off well at the start and immediately had to tolerate Lando Norris in front of him. Norris held the lead for 5 laps and took over Verstappen.

Even after that it was not cruising for Verstappen. Due to a safety car, the differences were limited, but the victory was no longer in danger. It is Red Bull’s 11th consecutive win, equaling McLaren’s record set in 1988.

Sergio Perez could make good use of Red Bull’s speed for his catch-up race. The Mexican raced from 15th on the grid to sixth in the result.

McLaren’s “Rocket” takes Lando Norris to podium

If the battle for victory wasn’t so intense, it was a bit different for places 2 and 3. McLaren seemed to have it under control thanks to the new updates on the cars of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

But the late safety car threw a spanner in the works. Unlike the other teams, McLaren opted for hard tires and that seemed like a tactical blunder. But in an intense battle with Lewis Hamilton, Norris held up fantastically. “This McLaren is as fast as a rocket,” Hamilton commented.

Smiling faces at McLaren after the 2nd place for Norris and the 4th for Oscar Piastri, then the faces at Ferrari were in a storm. Ferrari called in its drivers much earlier for new tyres, was unable to take advantage of the safety car and saw Leclerc finish 9th and Sainz 10th, behind Alex Albon in the Williams.
