At the next Formula 1 round in Qatar, Max Verstappen can update another record, which currently belongs to Sebastian Vettel.
In the 2011 season, Vettel led a record 739 laps in a single season. Verstappen has completed 712 laps in the past 16 races this year. If Max leads at least 28 of the 57 laps in first place in Qatar, he will surpass the achievement of his predecessor at Red Bull.
At Monza a month ago, Verstappen surpassed Vettel’s record of nine wins in a row, winning for the tenth time in a row.
