Vinales did manage to win the pole position, as well as the second position in the 2021 Dutch MotoGP at the Assen Circuit, Sunday (27/6/2021). However, his achievement was only his second podium in 2021, after winning the Qatar MotoGP.
Moreover, the performance of the Spanish passport racer last season was also unsatisfactory. In fact, last season he also just extended his contract until 2022.
