Maverick Vinales back in the Red Bull Ring circuit. After nearly being hit by a ‘flying’ motorbike last week, this week Vinales had to drop himself while his motorbike was speeding on MotoGP Styria 2020.
In the 2020 Austrian MotoGP race at the end of last week, the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP rider almost became a victim of a crash on the track. There is a ‘flying’ motorbike that almost hits Vinales and Valentino Rossi, his team-mates.
At that time Johann Zarco and Franco Morbidelli’s motorbikes collided. The two riders were unscathed, but their second bike bounced back onto the track when Vinales and Rossi were so close.
In the 2020 Austrian MotoGP, Vinales can still finish at least 10th to add six points to his points in MotoGP 2020 so far.
Still on the Red Bull Ring circuit in the racing series MotoGP Styria 2020, Sunday (23/8/2020), Maverick Vinales back in the shadow of bad luck. This time he didn’t even finish the race.
When the race had 12 laps remaining, Vinales was seen falling from the motorbike at the end of the straight ahead of Turn 1. Even though at that time his motorbike was estimated to have reached 230 km per hour!
In the process, it was suspected that Maverick Vinales had deliberately dropped himself off his motorbike. That’s because the mount is believed to have technical problems in braking.
As a result of this incident, Vinales’ motorbike slid off the track and ended up at the circuit fence. There was a fire that had consumed the motorbike before it was extinguished by the circuit marshall. Fortunately the Spanish rider did not seem injured.
The problem with Vinales’ motorbike has been seen before. Maverick Vinales was seen waving his hand to code a problem, even though at that time he could still go on.
This incident not only had the chance to raise a red flag on MotoGP Styria 2020, but also ends the race Maverick Vinales on the Red Bull Ring circuit. The same place he almost got hit by a ‘flying’ motorcycle a week ago.
