“The statements of Dr. are disconcerting. Piercamillo Davigo, former President of the ANM, released during a radio broadcast, in which he very coldly stated that “if a suspect decides to commit suicide you lose him as a possible source of information”. An absolute lack of respect for the dignity of the human person and the pain of the families who suffered those losses, regardless of criminal liability. You cannot exercise the role of magistrate if you do not put the fact that you are judging someone like you before all reasoning. The gravity of the statements is all the greater if we consider that Dr. Davigo, during his career, has carried out important and delicate functions in the jurisdiction and beyond. In addition to being president of the National Association of Magistrates, he was also a member of the CSM. I hope that the thoughts of Dr. Davigo is not shared by the entire judiciary and I expect a decisive distancing from the ANM through its President”.
