A series of five photos that appeared on an Instagram account that features health care workers violating health rules has created deep unease in Mauricie.
While the workers, who appear to be nurses, all wear masks in said photos, they are in extreme proximity. The occasion looks like a farewell party for one of the colleagues at the workplace.

At the Interprofessional Health Federation (FIQ), we refuse to comment. The local branch of the union simply said that the employee for whom the party had been organized no longer worked for the CIUSSS.
For its part, the CIUSSS de la Mauricie-et-du-Center-du-Québec also declined the TVA news interview requests.
“Rigorous protocols are in place to ensure compliance with infection prevention and control measures. Our staff are very rigorous in applying these rules. This is an exceptional situation. Individual approaches will be carried out today considering that the rules are not respected. We understand the importance for teams to highlight the work of team members, but alternative ways must be favored in the current context, ”however reacted the organization by email.
The photos were deleted from Instagram late morning Wednesday. The account itself was subsequently closed completely.
