Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, who arrived in Samara, was shown a Lada Vesta NG car. On published RIA Novosti the video shows that Matvienko sat in the station wagon in the top configuration with a multimedia system. The novelty was presented to her by the vice-president of AvtoVAZ Evgeny Shmelev.

“Beautiful car, I’ll sit,” said Matvienko.

“Look, everything is in the car,” said Shmelev.

Matvienko pointed to this with a five-speed manual transmission, noting that “something is missing” in the car.

“There is not enough automatic transmission, because it was “Nissan”. But now we are already working on our engine, which is 1.8 liters, the most powerful. Together with our Chinese partners, we will be aggregating the engine with an automatic transmission starting next year,” Shmelev said.

To this, Matvienko clarified whether the engine was reliable.

“Reliable, of course,” Shmelev assured.

At the end of April, AvtoVAZ announced prices for all configurations of Lada Vesta NG. The car will cost from 1,239,900 to 1,689,900 rubles. For Lada Vesta NG, there are two engines to choose from: an eight-valve VAZ-11182 with a volume of 1.6 liters, whose power is 90 hp. and 143 Nm of torque, and a more productive 16-valve, with a return of 106 hp. and 148 Nm. Both motors will be available for Vesta NG at the same time as sales start. In conjunction with the internal combustion engine, a five-speed mechanics works.

The list of standard equipment of the Lada Vesta NG includes full LED optics front and rear, two airbags, ABS, height and reach adjustable steering column, engine start button, electric windows for all doors, electric and heated exterior mirrors, air conditioning and a cooled glove box, disc rear wheel brakes.

The first batches have already begun to ship to dealers and sales will begin in the near future.
