Emmanuel Matuta was one of the two newcomers to FC Groningen last winter. The midfielder, who turned 20 last Tuesday, came over from PSV, where he mainly played his matches in the Keuken Kampioen Division at Jong PSV. The midfielder was met with a plan for the future, but made his debut on behalf of FC Groningen in the Eredivisie last week as a substitute.
Matuta grew up in Mechelen and has Congolese roots. The youngster is a youth international from Belgium and wants to grow at FC Groningen to take the next step in his career.
