Blaise Matuidi, now 33-year-old Inter Miami midfielder who notably visited Paris Saint-Germain from 2011 to 2017, answered several questions from The Téléfoot Channel in an interview broadcast this Sunday morning. The former Parisian number 14 was notably invited to return to his departure from Paris (to sign for Juventus Turin), his love for the club, that received from the supporters and the evolution of PSG.
“Moved by my departure?”
Yes, this is my heart club. I had always dreamed of wearing the PSG jersey, from my city. My dream has come true. I won the love of Parisians. They still show it to me today when I walk around. They always have a nice word. It’s nice.
Matuidi ” It bodes well for the future. “
I’m still following the results, I’m still a big fan of PSG. I’m very happy to see that Paris Saint-Germain has reached a new milestone in the Champions League by going to the final (1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich). It’s not easy for everyone. It bodes well for the future. There is a project and it is moving forward. I know the president (Nasser Al-Khelaïfi) and I know he is not going to stop there. His goal is to win it. It’s his dream. “
We always appreciate to see a former player have remained attached to PSG, all the more for such a case. Matuidi has his faults as a player, but the mentality is not one of them. He always gave his best to help the Parisian team and showed respect as well as love for PSG. His departure was not an easy moment, except that it is understandable that he wanted to follow an opportunity like Juventus Turin. What to discover a championship other than Ligue 1 with one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
This does not prevent him from always having a link with PSG and being a great supporter of it. We can only hope that the sequel will prove his optimism. The club are progressing and did not reach the Champions League final at random. It remains to gain in regularity and to advance further by winning this famous title.
