As the Landesfeuerwehrverband Salzburg reported in the evening, a fire broke out in the roof area of the stable building due to an as yet unexplained cause. The owners quickly noticed the flames and alarmed the emergency services.
Large-scale deployment at fire in Mattsee
After the arrival of Floriani, the local fire brigade commander Christian Schweiger called alarm level 3. The neighboring fire departments from Obertrum, Seeham, Berndorf, Seekirchen and Eugendorf also alarmed. In the meantime, 142 firefighters with 22 vehicles were deployed.

The weirs have since been used by more than 140 firefighters.
The fire could be quickly contained and brought under control by the rapid intervention of the fire brigade. This prevented a major fire. At around 8 p.m. all fire departments returned. The rest of the embers are under control. Only that Floriani from Mattsee and the fire truck Obernberg remained on the scene.
A fire on a farm does not cause injuries
People have not been harmed, the Red Cross announced on S24 request. A firefighter was slightly injured during the extinguishing work, but was able to continue the operation after clarification by the rescue. According to the fire brigade, all animals remained intact. The amount of the total damage is still unclear.
